Post Event Survey

With the 2015 Steampunk Farmers Market behind us, and staff begining the most rudimentary thoughts towards 2016, we would like to hear feedback from anyone who braved the weather to venture out to the event.

All feedback will play a direct hand in helping to shape the future of The Steampunk Farmers Market.

Things will be quiet for a few months now, on both the facebook page and the blog until we are ready to announce anything official for next year.

Thanks To All Who Came Out

The 2015 Steampunk Farmers Market has come and gone, and despite the torrential rains that washed out the second half of the event, we like to think the day was a success!  Those of us behind the scenes are endlessly grateful for all of our vendors, entertainers, and guests that braved the weather to come out and have fun with us on the 12th. Without the people, an event is nothing, and all those who came made the day what it was.

The short day made for a lack of very many photographs from the organizational end. We have a few to go through and post but not many, so if anyone out there has any they would like to share and see posted on the blog feel free to e-mail them to steampunkfarmersmarket@gmail.com

The York Dispatch also came out and took a few photographs of the event, you can find them here: http://www.yorkdispatch.com/breaking/ci_28799797/steampunk-farmers-market

A few others have popped up on the facebook page as well:

At present, there are plans for a 2016 Steampunk Farmers Market, though nothing is concrete as of yet. Once information is available, it will be passed along.

Thanks again to everyone who came out yesterday! And special thanks to Eli August and the Abandoned Buildings for their lovely music, Erick Hershey and his strolling magic, and The Enchanted Teapot for entertaining us. Also thank you to Troupe Mirabella for having the desire to preform, just not the ability due to the weather.

Time Draws Near, Venture Out to The Rail Trail Cafe Tonight!

Don't forget to drop by our Early Bird Meet-n-Greet at the Rail Trail Cafe tonight!
6-8PM 117 N Front Street, New Freedom, PA. We look forward to seeing everyone who shows up for our pre-event social gathering.

The Steampunk Farmers Market was also featured in the York Dispatch newspaper today, helping to spread word about our event around the area. In the physical paper, we even had a front-page mention with the main article on the front page top of the section it is printed in. We couldn't be more pleased with such.

Rain or Shine

Just a notice to everyone that The Seampunk Farmers Market is an outdoor, rain or shine event. Even if the weather is less than perfect, the day will go as planned.

Be sure to check the weather reports, and plan accordingly, especially where any multi-layer and heavy outfits and the temperature are concerned.  While we hope to see some fantastic costumes and outfits, we also do not want to see anyone getting sick from dehydration or overheating if the weather is warm.

Only Days Away!

The Steampunk Farmers Market is coming up fast! Those of us behind the scenes are getting excited to see who comes out to join us, and what kind of fantastical garb people decide to wear.

As a note on garb, ladies and anyone inclined to wear high heels, be mindful of your footwear. The event is being held in a grassy park among trees, so uneven ground is a given. We do not want anyone risking their ankles.

Everyone should absolutely come out to our Early Bird Meet-n-Greet at the Rail Trail Cafe, Friday night. Anyone who shows up will have a chance to win FREE tickets to the 9AM Steampunk Railroad Flyers Train Ride through Steam Into History. We also have a couple of spots to our Tea with the Enchanted Teapot to give away!

See you soon!
