Yearly Footwear Choice Reminder

This is your Routine Footwear Reminder!

Our venue is a tree covered, grass covered, kinda lumpy, vaguely un-mowed, lovely kind of park! It features unexpected divots, surprise rocks, miscellaneous slightly terrifying mushrooms, and the occasional ornery squirrel.

When choosing your regalia for this year, protect your ankles and be mindful that your footwear is appropriate for the venue!

ROAD CLOSURE JUST WEST OF NEW FREEDOM - Detour

Here a closed road, there a closed road, everywhere a closed road!

On route 851/Steltz Road, just West of New Freedom, the road is closed for bridge repair where 851/Keeney Mill, and Smith Mill roads intersect The detour signs for this closure coming from the West are either non existent or placed extremely poorly so we are doing our best efforts to alert anyone coming into town from that direction who may not already be familiar with the area.

We suggest, at the closure point, veer a slight RIGHT down Smith Mill past the ramshackle barn, following the silver truck in the first photo. Do not TURN right up Keeney Mill, or you will wander off into Maryland. You will follow Smith Mill to a stop sign which will be Front Street.

Turn LEFT, and this rill run you straight down into New Freedom and bring you out to Main Street with Steam Into History on your right and Paesano's across the street.

Turn RIGHT and this will take you up to the event grounds at the New Freedom Community Center and Rose Fire Hall. If you drive past the Fire Hall on the Right you have gone too far. Once you turn into the parking lot between the Community Center and the Fire Hall you will be able to see the event grounds and the wooden pavilion that has the Farmers Market mural painted on it.

Event Address: 150 East Main Street, New Freedom PA, 17349.
Alternate GPS Address to Rose Fire Hall :200 E Main St, New Freedom, PA 17349

The alternate GPS address is supplied as 150 E. Main street occasionally sends people to the wrong place depending on what mapping program you are using (but we think we have it fixed.) If you plug in 150 E Main Street in New Freedom and the map isn't showing you New Freedom, use the second address.
